Dr. Bjarne Holmes is an Associate Professor and the Program Director for Psychology at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont, USA. He is also an Associate Editor for one of our leading psychology publications, Journal of Social and Personal Relationships. Founder and lead host of the JSPR podcast series, “Relationship Matters”, Dr Holmes recently received a teaching award for his innovative use of online learning environments. With this experience he is helping SAGE to forge ahead in the world of social media.

Dr. Holmes says: My mission as an academic is not only to do quality work, but to also ensure that the quality work of others is enhanced and distributed to as wide a population as possible. For this reason, I created Relationships Matters. We have a wide listening audience all over the world, interested in hearing the authors we interview explain their work in everyday terms. I am also a regular contributor to the website Science of Relationships, which has a similar mission of science distribution to the general public.
