Deborah de Lange Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada

Professor Deborah E. de Lange, PhD (Strategic Management, University of Toronto) is a faculty member in Global Management Studies at the Ted Rogers School of Management and in Ryerson University’s Environmental Applied Science and Management graduate program. She is also the Vice Chair of the North America Chapter of the United Nations (UN) Principles for Responsible Management Education and Program Chair for the Public and Non-Profit Division of the Academy of Management. Her research examines topics related to sustainable development and she has published in numerous peer- reviewed journals. Her three books examine sustainability issues and the guiding principles for her work have been the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Other research focuses on a stakeholder approach to organizational leadership, designing and maintaining sustainable organizations, cross-sector cooperation, and sustainable entrepreneurship. She also volunteers her time based on previous years’ experience in industry to advise start-ups in Ryerson University’s incubators.
