Deborah Reed-Danahay is Professor of Anthropology at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). She is the author or editor of six books including Bourdieu and Social Space: Mobilities, Trajectories, Emplacements; Civic Engagements: The Citizenship Practices of Vietnamese and Indian Immigrants; Citizenship, Political Engagement, and Belonging: Immigrants in Europe and the United States; Locating Bourdieu; Auto/Ethnography: Rewriting the Self and the Social; and Education and Identity in Rural France: The Politics of Schooling. Her research and teaching interests include migration and mobility, citizenship, personal narrative, autoethnography, social theory, and the history of anthropology. She has conducted ethnographic research in France, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
