J. Daniel Muehlschlegel, MD, MMSc Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston, MA, USA

Dr. Muehlschlegel went to medical school at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany before coming to the University of Florida for his anesthesia residency. He subsequently moved to Boston for subspecialty training in cardiac anesthesia at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH). In addition, he completed a two year Masters of Medical Science in translational genetics at Harvard Medical School. Since 2008, Dr. Muehlschlegel is a staff anesthesiologist at BWH. Dr. Muehlschlegel is also a member of the CABG Genomics Study Group and has his own NIH-funded lab examining the transcriptional effects of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in humans.
