Leena Hannula, PhD, MNSc, RM, RN is a Researcher and Senior Lecturer at Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, in Finland. She is a assigned member of The National follow-up group for breastfeeding promotion in Finland at the Finnish National Institute for Health and Welfare. Dr. Hannula is also member of the Nordic BFHI- Neo expert group and Comparative Lactation Network for Nordic Researchers (CoLact) funded by NordForsk. Dr. Hannula gained her Master of Nursing Science and Doctor of Health Sciences degrees from University of Turku, Finland. She is a board member of the Finnish Baby Friendly Hospital Educators. Her research areas include lactation, breastfeeding attitudes, self-efficacy, education and support and the BFHI.
