Paul Dekker is Professor of Civil Society at the Department of Sociology of Tilburg University, The Netherlands, and Head of the Participation and Government Research Group of the Netherlands Institute for Social research | SCP. His main fields of research are social and political participation, and public opinion. Dekker is member of board member the International Society of Third Sector research (ISTR).
