Dr. Robin L. Jarrett is a professor in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, and the Department of African-American Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her PhD from the University of Chicago, Department of Sociology. Her Chicago-based qualitative research focuses on positive child and adolescent development, ethnic-racial group families, and family functioning and resilience in inner-city neighborhoods.
