Marc D. Basson, MD, PhD, received his MD degree from the University of Michigan and his PhD from Yale University, as well as an MBA from Wayne State University. Dr. Basson is a practicing general surgeon whose research interests include cancer metastasis and signal transduction in benign and malignant epithelium. He currently serves as Professor of Surgery, Biomedical Sciences, and Pathology and Senior Associate Dean for Medicine and Research at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and is the PI and Director of the NIH-funded DaCCoTA CTR program in clinical and translational cancer research.
