Aimee Eden, PhD, MPH, is a medical anthropologist and qualitative researcher at the American Board of Family Medicine (the ABFM). Dr. Eden also holds a master’s degree in international development and is a returned Peace Corps volunteer (Kazakhstan 2000-2002). She currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE), and is a board member of the Monetary Investment for Lactation Consultant Certification (MILCC). Her research areas include reproductive and maternal-child health, breastfeeding, healthcare workforce issues (particularly around breastfeeding support), health inequities/disparities, and global medical migration.
