Kenneth Novak, Ph.D., is associate professor of Criminal Justice at University of Missouri – Kansas City. He received the UMKC Board of Trustees Faculty Scholar Award (2003-04) for research and scholarly achievement. He has partnered with several criminal justice agencies, including the Cincinnati Police Department, the Kansas City Police Department, the Overland Park Police Department, the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission & the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms. He is co-author of Police Management, 3rd Edition (Roxbury Publishing) and Police and Society, 3rd Edition (Roxbury Publishing), and has also published in several journals.
