Rodanthi Tzanelli is Associate Professor of Cultural Sociology at Leeds University, UK. Her research interests include globalization, cosmopolitanism and mobility theory, methods, and epistemologies. She served on several journal boards, including The Global Studies Journal and Cultural Sociology. She has been visiting staff at CEMORE, Lancaster (Department of Sociology and at Oxford’s Department of Anthropology). She is author of several academic articles, book chapters, and 10 books, including Thanatourism and Cinematic Representations of Risk: Screening the End of Tourism (2016) and Mega-Events as Economies of the Imagination: Creating Atmospheres for Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 (both with Routledge).
