Senior HR Business & Diversity Partner – Singapore

As an HR & Diversity Business Partner, you will be responsible for solving complex organisational challenges through people-related solutions. You will create the complete people strategy that will support SAGE Asia-Pacific in realising our ambitions of creating HR of the Future This will require you to think big, use data to guide your work, be comfortable challenging convention and, in some cases, to reinvent how work is done. You will partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute strategies for how we staff, onboard, develop, motivate, retain, and organise work. As core part of this work will be rolling out programs to support SAGE team members, including D, E & I, mental wellness, and corporate social responsibility/sustainability.

What You’ll Do

HR Business Partner

  • Build relationship with Managing Director (“MD”) to offer thought leadership on organisational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Consult with Senior Managers to create a comprehensive people plan to influence lasting change over various departments at SAGE Asia-Pacific and present to MD for discussion & approval. This includes ensuring legal compliance with local government regulations in terms of benefits and other HR matters. Updating of HR policies and presenting them to the MD and other Senior Managers.
  • Solve problems and get to the root cause of any issue. Design and quickly implement solutions that cut across multiple disciplines, even those beyond people and organisational solutions.
  • Provide expertise in the following areas: coaching, data analysis, employee relations, learning and development, recognition programs, and strategic development.
  • Use and request data strategically. Identify and surface trends in both qualitative and quantitative data to help improve organisational health, understand when data will assist in making smart, informed decisions, and interpret complex analyses and tie analyses back to business priorities.
  • Liaising with the UK office on report submissions.

Community Engagement

  • Work with the MD to undertake community engagement programmes/initiatives with our customers.
  • Providing quarterly updates on sponsorship events and providing corresponding data on revenue generated.
  • Supporting the SAGE’s mission to build public trust and confidence through content creation for internal and external audiences including, but not limited to presentation and speeches by MD at relevant events.
  • Organise internal sales conferences working closely with senior business leaders and MD.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Building, outlining, and developing processes and tracking projects in support of key DEI functions and Corporate Social Responsibility & Sustainability.
  • Lead the development and analysis of various reports, and department level reports, strategic plan tracking, research and reporting.
  • Providing regular budget updates and insights to department management including classifying actuals and explaining variances.
  • Collecting, cleaning, analysing, and communicating CEI data within the department and reporting to the MD
  • Participate in initiatives to implement process and program enhancements.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3 - 5 years of HR business partner or generalist experience supporting leaders at global companies.
    • HR experience in organisational design, succession planning, diversity/inclusion, business consulting, compensation and rewards, recognition programs, culture keeper, employee engagement, coaching/development, talent management, talent acquisition, data analysis, employee relations.
    • Ability to work within constraints as well as to challenge the status quo.
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and being a part of deeply complex strategy discussions.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior leaders and a variety of stakeholders to drive organisational change.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.
    • Ability to exhibit emotional intelligence to influence others through active listening and coaching with a growth mindset.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
