The book is aimed at students doing a literature review as a section within an empirical piece of research. This is a small minority of our students and so this text is useful for a few specific students only.
This is a comprehensive text, and although better suited to those studying at postgraduate level, it has some useful early sections relevant to undergraduate students as well
A useful and comprehensive text, although more suited to students completing higher level qualifications. Some sections, however, are useful and relevant for undergraduate students
Useful for new researchers.
very well written, extremely useful for students at PG level
A comprehensive book, great for dipping into and reading appropriate sections. For our Access students it is too advanced. A good book for their future degree studies.
I would recommend this book to nurses completing my programme, and particularly those progressing from my programme to completion of a taught Masters programme or MSc by Research.
Nice, easily accessible overview of and guidance to the literature review. Good alternative to the traditional standard text on literature reviews by Hart
It is an useful course book for the students who are going to follow a research master. In the book, there are not only concepts of literature review addressed, but also samples are given to help students to understand better what they need to do and how to do. This book is also a good reference for the students who are about to work on their master theses.
A highly informative opus to guide a novice or a professional in the art of literature reviews. Clear and well-structured with a wealth of info on a topic that in most research books is only vaguely covered.
