Sage has an agreement with Universidad del País Vasco to publish articles open access. The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 01, 2024 through to December 31, 2026. The details of the agreement are as follows:

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with Universidad del País Vasco and have an article accepted for publication between January 01, 2024 and December 31, 2026. The participating member institution list is available here.

Sage has an agreement with Bilkent University to publish articles open access The agreement for participating organizations will run from January 1, 2024, through to December 31, 2024. The details of the agreement are as follows: 

To qualify for the agreement, the corresponding author must be affiliated with Bilkent University and have an article accepted for publication between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

Los Angeles, CA - SAGE a leading independent academic and professional publisher today launched the Journal of Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies Engineering (RATE), a peer reviewed, open access (OA) journal.RATE is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on the engineering aspects and their practical applications of rehabilitation and assistive technologies. It covers engineering design, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering devices and their applications, robotics and biomedical engineering. 

Sage Journals content dates back to the mid-nineteenth century and may contain language and ideas that were once accepted by the scholarly community but are offensive or harmful. While recognizing the importance of preserving the historical record, we are addressing potentially harmful content in our archive on a case-by-case basis as we become aware of it.

These guidelines are for Editors and Editorial Teams to support diversity, equity, and inclusion in communicating and working with authors and reviewers and focuses on topics such as unconscious bias, language, and working with authors with disabilities.  Additional resources are available in our Taking Action on Diversity guide on the Sage Editor Gateway.
